"EVANESCERE"  

  -evanescere - existence - phenomenon - evaporate-

This work was created following Suzuki's outdoor performance at the TBA Festival in Portland, USA in 2011.

​

Suzuki says, "I believe that there must be the kind of body which can be reached only by those who have fully confronted to dance. Not starting from what's not dance, but only through a thorough struggle with what's dance, then may we encounter "what's not dance."

​

True to his words, EVANESCENCE is a piece with a strong presence of the body and dance, packed with a serene and beautiful, yet dangerous, atmosphere. It has received excellent responses from both critics and audiences, including "Simple but very attractive," and "A glorious triumph of the body."
