振付家・ダンサー：鈴木ユキオによるプロジェクト。世界50都市を超える地域で活動を展開し、既成の表現スタイルにとらわれず「ダンスとは何か」「現代の表現とは何か」を常に模索。しなやかで繊細に、かつ空間からはみだすような強靭な身体・ダンスは、多くの観客を魅了している。

映像作品への出演、音楽家との共同制作など、活動は多岐に渡る。また、子ども出演ダンス作品の振付や、障害のある方とのワークなど、身体と感覚を自由に開放し、個性や感性を刺激する表現を生み出している。

日本女子体育大学、お茶の水女子大学、日本工学院専門学校などで指導する他、欧米やアジア諸国のダンスフェスティバルにも数多く参加し、公演やワークショップを行う。また、plentyやスピッツ、エゴラッピンなどのミュージックビデオ出演、ミナペルホネンやアルフレッドバニスターのカタログモデルなど活動は多岐にわたる。

Yukio Suzuki is a dancer and choreographer. In 1997 he began studying butoh dance and later performed in works by Ko Murobushi and so on. And in 2000 he founded his own company "YUKIO SUZUKI Projects". The basic principle of his interpretation is not the technique, but the character of the dance language, for which he has been acclaimed even outside of his native Japan. He has been touring around over 50 cities in the world, and his pliant, delicate and tenacious movements have been enthralling the audience. Recently he has also been creating pieces for other dance companies and leads workshops.

Yukio Suzuki and his dance company participated in TBA Festival (US), Singapore International Arts Festival, Dance Triennale Tokyo, Sibiu International Theatre Festival Roppongi Arts Night and so on. In 2015, he participated in TANEC PRAHA, created his new dance work with International professional dancers. The other side, he try to create dance work with various people, for example, children, ballet dancers or handicapped persons.

His works have won several important awards in Japan, in 2008 his work “Confronting Silence” won the Grand prix at the Toyota Choreography Award. And in 2012 he took part in Danse Elargie 2012 at the Theatre de la Ville in Paris, where he placed among the top ten.
